UPDATE: Authorities are clearing the scene. “The area is safe,” Stocco said. Honda is once again open for business. Stocco says the investigation is continuing and more information will be released when it’s available. CLICK HERE FOR THE FINAL UPDATE. 

Authorities are conducting an investigation at the Honda dealership on Route 37 in Toms River this morning.

Sources at the scene say they’re sweeping the area shortly after 10 a.m. K-9s are being used.

Toms River Police Department spokesman Ralph Stocco confirmed the activity, saying that authorities are investigating a suspicious package.

The Toms River Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department are investigating.
