Authorities are working to determine the cause of a fire that burned an ice cream pavilion on the beach in Seaside Park early this morning.

Firefighters responded to the 2nd Avenue beach shortly before 5 a.m. after receiving a report of the gazebo ablaze.

No one was injured while quickly extinguishing the blaze within the approximately 100 square foot structure that doesn’t have electric service.

The cause is currently unknown.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office’s Arson Investigator and Fire Marshal’s Office were called to the scene, law enforcement sources say.
