LBI: Man attempted to sell stolen bike on social media, police allege

The following is a release from the Long Beach Township Police Department:

In July 2017, the Long Beach Township Police Department conducted an investigation involving social media posts showing stolen bicycles for sale.

Further investigation revealed that Randy Brown, age 54 of Long Beach Township, was in possession of two stolen bicycles, one of which he attempted to sell on social media. The bicycles were allegedly stolen out of Beach Haven.

The subsequent police investigation established probable cause to arrest Randy for fencing and two counts of possession of stolen property. He was processed and released pending a future court date.
