A Coastal Flooding Advisory will go into effect for the entire New Jersey coastline between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, according to a National Weather Service bulletin.

The bulletin advises that minor tidal flooding is likely during the Monday morning high tide cycle.

Tides are running slightly above normal due to the full moon and an increasing north-northeasterly flow, according to the National Weather Service.

High tide will occur around 7:30 a.m. along oceanfront and up to two hours later in tidal waterways and back bays.

The surge will be a half a foot to a foot about the astronomical tide, the advisory states.

Localized roadway flooding is likely, causing some road closures. Motorists should not drive through flooded areas.
